AFC Leopards beat Mathare United 2-1 in an entertaining Kenya Premier League match played at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Mathare took a seventh-minute lead when Martin Nderitu made a darting run from midfield before finding Wethuli on the left, who then took two touches, one to set his shot up and the other to finish.

Leopards grew into the game as the half wore on, and Eugene Mukangula got in behind and equalised for the visitors right at the stroke of halftime.

Mukangula then turned provider on the hour-mark, finding Fasanmi Ojo who slammed home what turned out to be the winner.

At the ASK Showground in Nakuru, Police FC scored two late goals to force a 2-2 draw against Ulinzi Stars in what was christened as the 'Police' derby.
