Charles Okere has returned to Kenya Premier League defending champions Tusker FC after a stint with the national women’s football team, Harambee Starlets.
Okere previously served as an assistant coach before he left last season and joined Harambee Starlets. Okere is now back at Tusker but in a different capacity as he will serve as the first team's second assistant coach as well as the head coach of the Youth Team.
He will serve in a new capacity, as the first team's second assistant coach as well as the head coach of the Youth Team. He took charge of the juniors in his first match last Sunday and was also on the technical bench of the senior team during last Saturday’s match against Gor Mahia FC
On his return
"I am happy and delighted to be back home because this team is like family. I was here since 2018 and left for the national team but I find myself back here. I want to thank the club’s management and the technical bench of the senior team for giving me this second chance to be here," said Okere.
"I have learned a lot with the national team and it is those lessons I aim to implement back here and ensure the success of both the senior and Youth Team," he added.
