AC Milan will still be without the services of striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic for at least one week.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Swedish striker is dealing with a knee strain that will keep him out for ten days at the very least. This is a crucial stretch for Milan, who risk missing out on Italian glory due to scoring mishaps.
Ibrahimovic will miss Milan's Friday match against Genoawhere his club needs a win to keep their title hopes alive. In addition, he will miss the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-finals versus city rival Inter Milan after the first leg ended in a goalless draw.
There is a possibility of Zlatan returning for the match against Lazio on April 24 and Milan will need him to be at his best as Lazio is one of the strongest teams in the division that could deflate their title hopes.
Zlatan was a major factor in Milan returning to the Champions League last season where he scored 15 goals and provided two assists in 19 league appearances. This season, in 19 league appearances, Ibrahimovic holds eight goals and two assists to his name.
Many of these appearances, however, have come towards the end of matches in return from injury. Due to this, he’s only seen 937 minutes on the pitch.
