Free State Stars head coach Luc Eymael is desperate that things are not going their way after going down to Kaizer Chiefs in a league duty.
Eymael pinpointed his defender Bangali Keita for his poor display as the Nedbank champions slumped to a 2-0 loss.
“They had two attacks in the first half and they scored two goals. We had two opportunities, we don’t score. I think we’re repeating the same thing every week. I don’t know what will happen. I’m trying my best, unfortunately, things are not going our way and I’m not clear on what is the solution.” the former AFC Leopards coach regretted.
“We were repeating this yesterday because we were studying our mistakes where we open the gap in the centre of defence for a through the pass. I’m very disappointed with some guys we had a meeting last week. I said if you’re not 100 per cent fit for the game then say it. But I had a problem with one of our centre back [Bangali Keita], I called him today and he said, “no, no I’m 100 per cent.” he added.
“I told him to pay attention because I don’t want to lose you after 20 or 40 minutes because I will lose a substitution but he said “no, I’m okay” and you saw what happened. When things are like that you feel betrayed. It’s hard to accept,”
State Stars sits 15th on the log.
