SC Villa will go head to head against Police FC on Tuesday, January 8 in their Uganda Premier League clash at StarTimes stadium in Lugogo.

Ugandan midfielder Albert Mugisa has cited reasons why he will not be celebrating if he happens to score against Police FC.

Mugisa began his top-tier football career at Police after signing from then Fufa Big League side, Ndejje University.

“They (Police) have a special place in my heart,” Mugisa told Kawowo Sports.

“I have so much respect for the team and coach Abdallah Mubiru and surely can’t celebrate a goal against them if I score,” he added.

Despite Police having given him his professional football debut, the midfielder says that he is now with Villa and believes he will do the best that he can to see the Jogoos come out with much-needed three points.

“I am a professional and want my team to win. I will do everything to see we pick all points and help my team which is SC Villa at the moment.

The Jogoos have reportedly endured a disastrous first half of the 2018/19 season and are currently sitting just a place over relegation despite a visible five-point gap between them and Ndejje.
