Uganda Premier League club Police are reportedly looking to sign Vipers SC defender Henry Katongole in the current January transfer window.
The former Express and SC Villa joined Vipers back in August 2018 but hasn't played in any game after he was reportedly denied a license for the first round.
Katongole is allegedly training with the Venoms but it has been said that he might not be signed for the second half of the 2018/19 season.
Police FC head coach Abdallah Mubiru, however, confirmed the interest in Katongole's services and that the club has reportedly put out a formal request on his availability to come on loan.
“We want to strengthen our defence and Katongole is one of the players we are looking at,” Mubiru said.
The Cops have also been said to be on the lookout for Proline centreback Ivan Bukenya as well as Edgar Bwogi who played for Express in the 2017/18 season to add to their books;
However, the 2005 Uganda Premier League champions have been tipped to have the second-best goalscoring record in the league this far despite having one of the weakest backlines.
