KCCA assistant coach, Morley Byekwaso, is already predicting a tough second part of the season.
The Lugogo side has been eliminated from the continental assignments and are already out of the Uganda Cup and are only left with the league.
The City Lads fought hard to grind a 1-0 victory over a stubborn Onduparaka on Wednesday, a situation that led to Byekwaso’s submission.
“We are going to have a very difficult second round and this we must accept,” Byekwaso submitted.
“They have to fight like they did against Onduparaka and try grind out games even in the most difficult of situations. The fact that we only have the league to fight for even makes it harder. Other teams in the league have strengthened and will want to save their season too,” he added.
The narrow win maintained KCCA’s three-point lead on the table with their closest rivals, Vipers and Mbarara City, both registering victories to keep pressure.
