Mbarara City muscle out Nyamityobora to earn bragging rights

Mbarara City continued with their fine performances as they swept aside Nyamityobora in a 3-0 win in their second Mbarara derby.

The City lads have been on an upward trend and are threatening to muscle out with KCCA and Vipers for the ultimate prize this season.

On form South Sudan import Makueth Wol delivered the hosts message and intentions as soon as the second minute with the opening goal.

Paul Mucureezi added the second and his sixth of the season barely before the half-hour mark.

Mucureezi, who was later crowned the man of the match, was involved in another attack late in the second half as Jude Semugabi sealed the win in the 71st.

The win brings Mbarara City’s points to 35 points, five and two behind KCCA and Vipers respectively.

Nyamityobora remain in the red zone with 12 points after 18 games.
