Manchester United captain Ashley Young has extended his contract at the club for one more year.
"Manchester United is pleased to announce that Ashley Young has signed a one-year contract extension with the club. The deal will keep our no.18 at Old Trafford until the end of the 2019/20 season." the club confirmed.
Young is the sixth United player to sign new terms this season after Luke Shaw, Chris Smalling, Scott McTominay, Anthony Martial and Phil Jones.
The 31-year old United in 2011 from Aston Villa and has made 227 appearances for the club, scoring 17 goals and winning a clutch of trophies including the Premier League and Europa League. He was converted into a wing-back by Louis Van Gaal and has cemented that place under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and even under Jose Mourinho before he was sacked in December 2018.
