Isabirye denies joining Nyamityobora

There have been some reports and rumours circulating around that Alex Isabirye has joined Nyamityobora as their new head coach.

The reports have been backed by graphics designed by what looks to be the club media team indicating the same.

However, the coach, currently heading Kyetume FC, has rubbished the claims but revealed that there has been some contact.

"I am hearing this from you (media)," Isabirye who sounded surprised told Futaa.

Isabirye who played an integral part in Nyamityobora's promotion campaign last season was highly touted for a return after the sacking of James Odoch only for former Maroons and Onduparaka voach Asaph Mwebaze to be confirmed in the final minute.

"It is not the first time someone is unveiling me at Nyamityobora without my knowledge," Isabirye joked. "What I know is that am still the head coach of Kyetume and we are just back from Kitara for the Uganda Cup game.

"However, I cannot deny that they contacted me but we agreed to meet later on Tuesday after the Uganda cup assignment."

The experienced tactician has previously coached Kirinya Jinja SSS FC, URA and BUL.
