Ndejje University boosted their chances of surviving the chop with a hard-fought 4-3 voctory over Tooro United at the Arena of Visions in Ndejje.
The University side employed the services of former FUFA Technical Director Asuman Lubowa in the same capacity.
Francis Onekalit signalled the start to a thriller with a quick brace inside the opening ten minutes.
The Visitors, who were trying to bounce back after being ejected in the Uganda Cup, pulled one back through a Ronald Odokonyero’s own goal at the half-hour turn.
Mahad Yaya kakooza levelled the scores to ensure both sides remained level into the breather but Anwar Ntege converted from the spot to give the students a 3-2 lead at the break.
Odokonyero, who had scored in his own goal for Tooro’s first, rectified his mistake with a proper goal in the 77th.
Simon Sserunkuma pulled another one back for Tooro in the 89th minute but time was against them.
Ndejje remain rooted in the red zone with 16 points as Tooro drop a place to seventh with their 28 points.
