Mutebi: Uganda Premier League race will be sorted on final day
Mike Mutebi has predicted a dramatic end to the season with the champions expected to win it on the last day.
The coach, whose KCCA FC team fell 2-1 to URA on Tuesday at their home in Lugogo, also believes that Mbarara City, URA and BUL are favourites for the title besides the leaders KCCA and holders, Vipers SC.
“All teams have started playing very well and fighting hard,” Mutebi analysed.
“So, there are adjustments which we [KCCA] must make if we are to win the trophy. The League race will go into the last days because everyone is fighting. You may focus on only KCCA and Vipers but there are those who are rising steadily and staking a claim. When you look at the gap between us, the leaders and those following us, you realise it’s very small,” he added.
KCCA is currently leading the log with 45 points followed by Vipers SC (42), Mbarara City (36), URA (35) and BUL with 32.
