Express FC head coach George Semwogerere believes that his team lost to Vipers because of the injuries that have infested the team and the unfamiliar playing turf.
Dan SSerunkuma scored twice in the game on Friday at Kitende as the Red Eagles failed 2-0.
“It was a tough game I had very many injured players I had to replace them with others. We shall go rectify the mistakes and come back stronger,” Semwogerere told the media.
He added: “They are playing at home on an artificial tough which is tough to play on and we had injuries of course. It was my first time to play here and some of my players yet they train here. So we could not run with them but tried to match them.”
The loss means that Express remain ninth with 28 points after 22 games.
