Mourinho's damning report on Ronaldinho, Puyol, Iniesta and Messi

Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho's report on Barcelona before his side tackled them in the 2005/2006 UEFA Champions League knockout stages have been published.

Teams usually send a scout to collect data on the opposition before facing them in order to get a better understanding on the side they will be tackling. Some of the reports were on Ronaldinho, Carles Puyol, Lionel Messi, and Andreas Iniesta. Barcelona progressed against Chelsea as they went on to lift the trophy.

According to the Mirror Ronaldinho was described as, "Very poor defensive transition and defensive work - exploit. Constant cheater - falls easily."

A report on Puyol read,  "Aggressive but very emotional. Gets crazy with the referee in fouls against him and goes mad in provocations. Aggressive defender, plays in anticipation using body. Bad positional sense (comes to midfield with striker) and bad leadership of defence (wants to do offside when it's not possible)."

It wasn't all negative, as Andres Iniesta and Messi were praised, though weakness was found, "Always comes on from the bench. Very dynamic player. Great radius of action. Speed of movement and speed of execution. Tricky player," he said of Iniesta.

While the Argentine magician was given plenty of praise, one weakness was pointed out: "Quality plus speed but very left footed. Exactly the same behaviours as Ronaldinho. Inside between lines or diagonals. Encourages team forward by ball driving. Amazing 1 vs 1."
