The boss of the National Committee (NC) of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Dr. Kofi Amoah has rallied support & unity for all Ghana national teams as well as the Ghana Premier League.
Amoah spoke ahead of the start of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday to inspire a new dawn after the dark corruption saga that ended all domestic football last year.
Amoah first addressed the status of the Black Stars who’ve successfully progressed to the 2019 AFCON.
"Some people are not happy with the Black Stars performance but a win and three points to secure top spot in the group is worth commending. So let's congratulate the boys and technical team for mission accomplished,” he said to Ghana Soccer Net.
"The millions who watched from home and the thousands who thronged the stadium would be comforted by the fact that our Black Stars and Black Meteors are on a winning trail. Now focus would be shifted to club football this weekend.
"Let's all rally behind the Black Stars and provide them the necessary support as we did in 2006 at the World Cup, in 2008 when we hosted the Afcon, in 2010 and even going into Brazil 2014.
Amoah then turned his points to the enemies of his National Committee who’ve shown skepticism towards the new ideas to take Ghanaian football forward.
"I never take constructive criticism personally because we all need to be in our toes. I would however be saddened if any journalist or media house takes a deliberate stance to attack everything the NC and other stakeholders are working tirelessly to fix our game.
“With Ghanaians backing the team, Come on, we can do it,” he concluded.
The new Ghana Premier League Special Competition kicks off this Sunday.
