ZSL Review: Eagles beat Buildcon to go top as Forest Rangers edge Circuit City in five goal thriller

Green Eagles moved to the summit of stream B following a one nil win over Buildcon away in Ndola on Friday in a week 13 MTN/FAZ Super league encounter.

Eagles came into the game looking to go top of Stream and completing a double over the Perry Mutapa tutored side while their opponents Buildcon wanted to open a five point lead at the summit.

Tapson Kaseba was the hero of the day scoring his fourth goal of the season in the 57th minute to send the Kawale Boys to the summit of the log opening a one point lead.

In the early Kick off of the day, Austin Muwowo led Forest Rangers edged Circuit City 3-2 in a dramatic match. The match saw a questionable penalty and a possible offside left to stand as a goal.

Laurent Muma opened the scores in the 25th minute with a close range finish. The lead lasted only for three minutes as Augustine Maozeka equalised for City.

In the second half Forest Rangers only needed three minutes to take the lead again with Zikiru Adams benefiting from a break down in defence.

Forest Rangers star player Austin Muwowo doubled the lead in the 80th minute after he 'beat' an offside trap and found himself in acres of space before chipping the Circuit City goalkeeper. Austin Muwowo however looked to have been in an off side situation.

Biston Banda scored from the spot three minutes after a Forest Rangers defender was wrongfully judged to have handled the ball in the area, 3-2 the match ended.
