Ndejje threatened to put a spanner in the works of KCCA's early title win after they netted in the 22nd minute when Anwaru Ntege gave them the lead as they went into the break with a lead. A strong second half saw KCCA restore parity through Ibrahim Sadam Juma, a minute after the hour mark.

KCCA have now clinched their 13 league title and will represent Uganda in the 2019-2020 CAF Champions League as they seek to get back to the group stages after their exploits in the 2018 campaign. The draw, however, leaves Ndejje in a precarious position, sitting in 14 with 26 points from 28 games and five points from safety.
