Kakamega Homeboyz head coach, Nicholas Muyoti was delighted with the team's bounce back from Tusker's defeat after thumping Kariobangi Sharks 3-0 in a Kenyan Premier League fixture on Sunday 5th May.
Tusker managed a 3-0 win over Homeboyz at their own turf in a midweek fixture last week ending their nine-game unbeaten run. Homeboyz produced a swift response away from home by handing Sharks another defeat to prolong their winless run to 11 straight games. Goals from David Okoth, Peter Thiong'o and a penalty from Allan Wanga ensured Homeboyz walked away with the three points.
Muyoti lauded his boys for the brilliant response to the Tusker defeat after beating Sharks 3-0, "I thank God for the win, I think the game has not been easy and I also thank the boys for the effort they've put in, remember we lost our last game against Tusker and this is a very good comeback and going forward I just want them to put in more effort."
Since taking over Homeboyz back in February, Muyoti has turned the results around, suffering only two defeats in the process as he revealed what he has done differently, "What I've instilled in the players is teamwork and whatever we are going to achieve this season it's all down to teamwork."
