Luis Suarez has promised not to celebrate if he scores again against Liverpool in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final clash at Anfield tonight.
The Barcelona star didn't hold back when he scored against his former side at the Nou Camp last week, sliding on his knees in towards the home fans an act which angered a few former Liverpool players.
However, ahead of the return leg at Anfield, the Uruguayan has promised not to repeat the act.
"Celebrating the goal? Everyone who football knows the importance of the goal I scored last week," he told reporters.
"I have all the respect in the world for Liverpool's fans.
"I'm very thankful to them. If I score a goal here, I won't celebrate it in the same way."
Suarez spent three-and-a-half years with the Reds before moving to Barcelona in 2014.
