Buildcon move to second in Stream B

Buildcon moved to second place in Stream B following a one all draw on Wednesday afternoon with Nkana on a rescheduled week 8 match.

Buildcon came into this aiming to go second while Nkana were looking to move a step closer to the top two places. The match started off slow and no real chances were created in the early exchanges.

After a goalless first half Buildcon took the lead in the 53rd minute after Eric Owusu threaded a good forward pass to Chanda Mushili who was unmarked and innacres of space , finishing off with easy. Simon Bwalya came from the bench to level matters for Nkana heading home from close range pull the hosts level.


Allan Chibwe almost cost Nkana late in the match as he failed to handle a cross in the box , Eluter Mpepo reacted quickly to try and score , His goal bound effort was met by Klings Kangwa who was judged to be off side but he had already taken off his shirt in celebration and when the goal was cancelled he got into an altercation with the assistant referee .

Odario Mwiinde gave him matching orders as he handed him a second yellow card to reduce Buildcon to ten men in the last few minutes of the match.
