Liberty Professional head coach Asante Boateng has stood behind his team’s time-wasting tactics in Wednesday’s draw with Hearts of Oak.
“I have to say it is not my style to delay in a game, but the situation demanded it so we had to just draw a strategy to kill the tie,” Boateng said after the game via Ghana Web.
Boateng further simply said he will not attempt to justify the tactic.
“I’m not going to apologise for that display.
“The Hearts fans need to understand that football does not always give you what you want.
The Scientific Boys’ tactician concluded by saying Hearts should be content with getting four points from his team this season.
“Hearts should be patient. Liberty is not WAFA. They came to Liberty and won so they should take it if we have got a draw here,” he added.
