Samu Saiz departed from Leeds United but he surprisingly showed that he still wants his former side to do well going forward.

However, Leeds can only wonder what could have happened for The Whites if Saiz had remained at the club for the entirety of the season.

Leeds are now attempting to move up through the playoffs after a third-place finish, and it has made fans wonder if the team would have sealed automatic promotion had talented attacker stayed on.

Saiz showed this weekend that he still cares, with a message to the club ahead of their play-off semi-final first leg away to Derby.

Saiz's message generated mixed responses, from some fans glad he still cared, and others annoyed that he was not there playing a part.

He left on loan in January to join Spanish side Getafe, requesting to return to his homeland for personal reasons.

Leeds won the first leg against Derby County 1-0, putting them in pole position to reach the play-off final, where they would face the winner of Aston Villa and West Brom.
