Martin Braithwaite linked with hefty transfer exit
Middlesbrough striker Martin Braithwaite is reportedly garnering interest from La Liga side CD Leganes with a fee of 8m euros (£7m) the expected amount according to Teesside Live.
The Danish striker has never settled at Boro after being signed by Garry Monk two years ago. He fell out of favour under Tony Pulis and spent last season on loan with Bordeaux.
Braithwaite managed to get a run at the beginning of this season but again found himself heading out on loan, this time to Leganes in Spain. They’re keen to make the deal permanent, but the suggested price tag is one stumbling block that may hinder a move.
It’s believed Boro don’t want the 27-year-old to return, even with a new manager imminent. He’s thought to want a move away as well, which makes the deal possible if a price can be struck.
Braithwaite has previously slammed the tactics of manager Tony Pulis; labelling them ‘strange’ following his switch to Spain.
