Egyptian-based striker John Antwi has simply said he is due a call-up to Ghana’s AFCON 2019 squad.
The 26-year-old striker, who plays his football for Misr El Makasa in the Egyptian Premier, is basing his views on scoring 12 goals and making two assists in 27 this season.
''My expectations are that my name will be in the squad when the call up is made (for the AFCON 2019) because looking at my performances here,” Antwi told Ghana Soccer Net.
''It will be good if I’m given the opportunity so I can also play for my country Ghana,” concluded the man who has also played for the likes of Al Ahly, Dreams FC and Eleven Wise.
The Sekondi-born player has until Monday to find his name in coach Kwasi Appiah’s squad.
