Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has revealed his side will be without the services of Benjamin Mendy in the FA Cup final against Watford.

However, the club could be handed a major boost as midfielder Fernandinho maybe available for the clash. The Brazilian has been back in training ahead of the Wembley showpiece, but Mendy, who has suffered a setback since recovering from a knee injury, has been ruled out by Pep Guardiola.

“Benjamin Mendy has not been selected because he’s not fit. He will be ready next season, but he is not available for the final. Fernandinho trained today and yesterday,” said Guardiola.

Having retained the Premier League, Guardiola’s side have been installed as strong favourites against the Hornets.
