Golden Boot battle heats up as Kenya Premier League enters week 31

17 May 2019, 19:00

Kakamega Homeboyz striker Allan  Wanga will be hoping to cement his position at the top of the Kenya Premier League scoring charts when his side plays away to Posta Rangers.

Wanga leads the standings with 18 goals, two ahead of second-placed Kasumba Umaru and Enosh Ochieng'.

He will be gunning to win a second Premier League Golden Boot, after his success in his maiden season with Tusker FC back in 2007 when he won the gong having scored 23 goals.

Ochieng has been the driving force behind Ulinzi's goals, and his impressive form saw him named in the Harambee Stars' CHAN squad.

Mathare United's Cliff Nyakeya is third having scored 13 goals in the campaign.

The weekend is packed with Premier League action, with the highlight match being the Mashemeji derby between Gor and AFC Leopards.
