Zoo holds Tusker as AFC Leopards end bad run against MKU

Tusker FC failed to hold on to their lead as Zoo came from behind twice to rescue a point as the two sides settled for a 2-2 draw  Kenyan Premier League match staged at Ruaraka Grounds on Thursday 23rd.

In a rainy pitch, Tusker took the lead over the visitors in the 17th minute through David Majak, who went past Zoo’s defence before slotting home from close range. However, just before half time, Zoo were level through Kevin Odhiambo who beat Robert Mboya to restore the parity.

In the second half, Tusker had to wait until 75th-minute to take a well-deserved lead through Boniface Muchiri who restored the Breweries lead straight from the freekick. However, Robert Matano’s men lost concentration in the stoppage time giving Chetembe Danson chance to grab a late equalizer for the visitors.

Mount Kenya United 0-2 AFC Leopards

AFC Leopards ended their bad run of results following a 2-0 win over Mount Kenya United in a match staged at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos. Boniface Mukhekhe grabbed a brace in the second half helping Leopards to end a bad run of five matches without a win. The win sends  Andrew Casa Mbungo’s men to 9th on the log with 42 points, one above Ulinzi Stars.
