Chiyangi names final squad for COSAFA

Zambia National team interim coach Aggrey Chiyangi has named his final 20 man squad for the 2019 COSAFA senior Challenge Cup to be hosted in Durban between May 25 to June 8th.

Chiyangi has named a strong squad of all locally based players. Zesco United highly sort after striker Lazarus Kambole, Forest Rangers midfield ace Austin Muwowo and Red Arrows captain Bruce Musakanya will lead the pursuit for glory.

Clement Mwape and Tandi Mwape may reunit to make a central defensive partnership with Isaac Shamujompa as another option. Benson Sakala,Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba and Emmanuel Chabula have also made the cut.

Chipolopolo team Manager Desmond M’ngawa revealed to FAZ Media that the team will leave for South Africa on Tuesday on a lunchtime flight. The team is expected to arrive at King Shaka International Airport at 18:00 hours.

Zambia will join the tournament at the quarterfinal stage with a clash against Group B winners on June 2. Group B has Namibia, Mozambique, Seychelles and Malawi.
