Allan Owiny is determined to end the season on a high note with a clean sheet against champions Gor Mahia in the last game of the Kenya Premier League season.
Owiny has been in good form for the Slum Boys in recent outings with four consecutive clean sheets in the league ahead of their clash with Gor at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Wednesday 29.
“It’s something that I expected especially towards the end of the league because we have now gelled well with the defence. I’m now on nine clean sheets and I hope to make them ten tomorrow against Gor,” he told the club's official website mathareunitedfc.co.ke.
“I enjoy having the ball on my feet so I’m always comfortable whenever we are playing on a good surface. Our philosophy also encourages the keeper to participate in the build-up. I’m looking forward to it since it’s just a game like any other,” the Ugandan added.
A win for Mathare will guarantee them a top-four finish if Sony lose against Chemelil.
