Asante Kotoko have pulled out of the Ghana Football Association’s Special Competition.
Kotoko just confirmed their dramatic decision to withdraw from the event ahead of a semi-finals showdown with Hearts of Oak.
The news follows shortly after the club had sent a formal letter to the FA to question why the semi-finals will be played awat at Hearts Oak, rather than home and away as previously promised.
Kotoko feel that their genuine request has been ignored.
''The club feel disrespected and nobody at the FA wants to talk to us on this issue. We want clarity on the matter but there's been no communication,'' a club source told GHANASoccernet.com.
''We want our fans to disregard the advertised date and not to show up at the Accra Sports Stadium,” concluded the spokesperson.
