The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has moved the Super League play off to 29th June following a request from some of the participating teams. FAZ Communications Manager Mwazi Chanda confirmed the development in a press statement made available to Futaa Zambia.
The match was originally scheduled for 8th June but a number of players from Zesco United and Buildcon are part of Zambia national team at the COSAFA tournament and others are part of the team heading to Morocco.
"Following a request from some of the participating teams the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) wishes to announce that the 2019 Transitional League grand finale that was scheduled for June 8, 2019 will now be held on June 29, 2019.
FAZ received written requests from Zesco United and Buildcon who have some of their players with the Cosafa Senior team and also another batch scheduled to travel to Morocco with the Chipolopolo for some international friendly matches to postpone the match until some their players are back from international duty."
Winners of Stream A (Zesco United) will play champions of Stream B (Green Eagles) to decide the national champion. In the third and fourth play-off Buildcon will take on Zanaco. The venue remains the national Heroes Stadium.
