Kenyan Premier League side Western Stima has raided Awendo based Sony Sugar FC for four players as the team restructure ahead of the new 2019/20 season.
Stima led by former Sony boss Salim Babu will have the four of Kelvin Motsosi, Abdallah Wankuru, Kennedy Odhiambo and Apollo Otieno from Sony with the team already having roped nine new faces to boost their 13th place finish last season.
Apart from the quartet, the team already confirmed the capture of Kariobangi Sharks winger Henry Juma, Ugandan Villa Omrachan and Chemelil’s Lucas Waitere.
Others roped by the team are winger Amos Kigadi who joins from relegated Vihiga United and Ian Motanda who has been roped from City neighbours Kisumu AllStars.
In order to create space for the new faces, the club has parted ways with veteran midfielder David Okello, defender Samuel Olare who was once in the books of Chemelil Sugar FC, striker Ian Otieno and midfielder Vincent Odongo.
Babu who joined the team midway through last season after the club parted ways with Paul Ogai, will hope that he can change the fortunes of the club after struggling in the later stages of the season despite a good start.
