Cliff Nyakeya officially joins Egyptian side FC Masr

Mathare United forward Cliff Nyakeya has officially signed for Egyptian top tier side FC Masr.

Masr was recently promoted to the Egyptian League's top division, after a good season in the second division where they finished top of their group.

Nyakeya, on the other hand, had a decent season with Mathare United last time out, guiding the former champions to a sixth-place finish in the 2018/19 season.

He scored 15 goals for the Slum Boys and assisted seven times in what was improved personal performances.

He has been a consistent performer for the club and was the Midfielder of the Year in the 2017/18 season, where he also scored 14 goals and bagged six assists.

He has now signed for the Cairo-based side, having been courted by Kenya Premier League Champions Gor Mahia and newly-promoted Wazito FC.
