Bandari FC were held to a 1-1 draw against Kampala City in their opening match of the CECAFA Kagame Cup in Rwanda.
The Mombasa-based side started the match with a bang, and took the lead inside the first minute as Abdallah Hassan tapped in after a poor clearance from a corner kick.
KCCA almost equalized on the counter on the 20th minute, but goalkeeper Faruk Shikhalo produced an outstanding save to preserve the Kenyans' lead.
There match was full of action through the first half, but little going in as the teams went into the break with the Dockers leading from that early goal.
Bandari made two changes after the break, with Dan Guya coming in for the injured Felly Mulumba and Danson Namasaka got his Maiden start for the Dockers.
KCCA, however, equalized in the 62nd minute, Sada Ibrahim Juma dribbling past Brian and placing it far left into the net.
Bandari thought they had scored a second on the 70th minute, but Yema Mwana's bicycle kick was ruled out for offside.
They came to grabbing the winner with three minutes remaining after Mosha dribbled past the KCCA defenders before cutting back for Yema Mwana, whose powerful shot went inches wide.
Bandari will next face Mukura Victory Sports in their second match of the tournament.
