Breaking: Pirates sign Zambia's Muwowo

Absa Premiership giants Orlando Pirates have signed Zambian attacking midfielder Austin Muwowo.

Following under the radar negotiations, Pirates have made the surprising announcement via social media this morning.

Muwowo, 24,  joins the Buccaneers from Forest Rangers (on loan from Nkana FC) in the Premier League where he smashed in 10 goals and made eight assists last season.

“Orlando Pirates Football Club is delighted to announce that it has reached an agreement with Nkana FC for the services of Austin Kaunda Muwowo,” said Pirates in a statement.

Muwowo joins fellow Zambian attackers Justin Shonga and Augustine Malenga at the Soweto club.

Pirates also took the moment to reveal that Gladwin Shitoto has joined Golden Arrows on loan. “Meanwhile, defender-cum-midfielder Gladwin Shitolo has agreed terms to join Golden Arrows on a season-long loan,” concluded Pirates.
