Gor Mahia midfielder suspended ahead of Green Eagles quarters clash

Gor Mahia will have to do without the services of Ernest Wendo for their CECAFA Kagame Cup quarter-finals against Zambian outfit Green Eagles on Wednesday 17th July due to suspension.

Wendo is suspended due to an accumulation of yellow cards in the group stages. The former Ushuru midfielder missed the opening 2-1 win over AS Maniema but played the next games against AS Port and KMKM which he picked up the yellow cards.

Should Gor Mahia progress to the semi-finals, Wendo will be available to play either APR FC or AS Maniema Union. In his absence, Tobias Otieno is likely to slot in as he did in the opening match against Maniema.
