CECAFA Kagame Cup: Eagles battle Gor Mahia for semifinal slot

Green Eagles will this afternoon battle Kenyan giants Gor Mahia in the quarter-finals of the ongoing CECAFA Kagame Cup in Rwanda. Eagles finished second in group C while Gor Mahia topped their group D going unbeaten throughout.

Eagles head coach Aggrey Chiyangi who is using the tournament to prepare for the CAF Champions league is relishing the challenge to face the record time Kenya Premier League Champions.

Gor will be looking to continue their unbeaten run as they seek a sixth title. Gor Won the tournament in 1976 and 1977 as Luo Union and later on in 1980, 1981 and 1985 as Gor Mahia.

Eagles, on the other hand, are chasing their first ever CECAFA Kagame Cup title this being their first-ever participation in the annual interclub competition.
