Absa Premiership rookies Stellenbosch FC have added veteran defender Morgan Gould to their books.
Though the club are yet to make the announcement, the deal was confirmed by the former SuperSport United player himself.
Asked if he was thrilled to find a new home, the 36-year-old said it is an opportunity to write a good final chapter of his career.
“Definitely‚ it’s a new challenge for me. I didn’t want to leave football on a low note‚ I want to leave on a high,” Gould said to Times Live.
“I want to impart knowledge I’ve picked up in my football career and also learn from what the other players have learnt in their careers.”
Other new faces at the Western Cape club are Marc van Heerden, Boy de Jong, Diego Franco, Tshireletso Motsogi, Inga Nyeleka, Dillan Solomons, Zimo Brenner and Waseem Isaacs.
Maties will start life in the top division away to Chippa United on Sunday 4 August 2019.
