Allan Okello scored a brace to inspire Kampala City Council (KCCA) to a 4-3 win over Zambian side Green Eagles to secure a final slot in the ongoing CECAFA Kagame Cup.
Eagles came into the match barely 48 hours after beating Gor Mahia in the semifinal. The Ugandan side started strong and Midfield ace Allan Okello put them in the lead just two minutes into the match.
Eagles struggled to get into the match but slowly found their way back. Amity Shamende leveled matters in the 38th minute with a powerful shot from inside the box. The Choma side came from the break with a lot of purposes and Amity Shamende struck just eight minutes into the second stanza to put the Kawale boys in the lead.
With Eagles looking like they were headed for Victory Okello struck again eleven minutes from time to send the match into extra time. Substitute Mike Mutyaba put KCCA in the lead in the 98th minute before youngster Anuku Sadat could double the lead making it 4-2. Sam Chilupe came from the bench to reduce the deficit a minute to time but KCCA held on to win 4-3.
KCCA qualify to the final and will face the winner between AS Maniena Union and Azam who play later today while Eagles will face the losing team in the third and fourth playoff.
