Kenya representatives in next season’s CAF Competitions Gor Mahia and Bandari FC have learned their opponents in a draw conducted on Sunday 21 July.
Gor Mahia who will be flying the Kenyan flag in the CAF Champions League have been paired against Burundi’s Aigle Noir CS in the preliminary round with the first leg slated for Urukundo Stadium at Ngozi between August 9th-11th; the second leg coming after a fortnight.
The aggregate winner of the tie will face the winner between SONIDEP of Nigeria and USMA of Algeria in the final round that will determine the team that progresses to the group stages of the competition.
Gor will be looking to go a step further in the competition after being denied a group stage chance by Lobi Stars of Nigeria in the previous edition.
CAF Confederations Cup
Meanwhile, Kenya’s representatives in the CAF Confederations Cup Bandari FC will be up against Sudan’s Al Ahly Shandy.
Bandari will host the first leg in Kenya between 9th-11th with the second leg slated for Sudan in two weeks’ time and will be looking to make a good impression after failing to get FC Saint-Eloi Lupopo of DR Congo in their last appearance of the competition in 2016.
