Maurizio Sarri lauds Cristiano Ronaldo after scoring against Tottenham Hotspur

After scoring in the 3-2 loss to Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo earned praise from his manager Maurizio Sarri.

This was the first game in charge of Juventus for Sarri but unfortunately, it ended in defeat as Harry Kane scored a late winner from 60 yards out, to catch Wojciech Szczesny out of his line. Ronaldo netted at the stroke of the hour mark to hand Juventus the lead momentarily.

Speaking in a press conference after the game, Sarri rained praise down on Ronaldo, "Cristiano's the best player in this team. Therefore, we must set up the other 10 well defensively. He can play anywhere on the field. He's the best and it's important for him to be free on the pitch."

Juventus next face Inter Milan on Wednesday 24th July in the International Champions Cup.
