Gareth Bale agent Jonathan Barnett has revealed if the Wales international leaves the Los Blancos it will not be on loan.
Bale has been linked with a move away from Santiago Bernabeu with Chinese Super League sides Jiangsu Suning and Beijing Guoan keen to land the forward. The Welsh’s future in Madrid is unclear and agent Barnett says should his player leave, there will be no makeshift deal to get him out of the club.
“There will be no makeshift deals to get him out of the club," he said.
“Gareth is one of the best players on the planet. I can guarantee you he will not be going on loan to any club,” he added.
With the 30-year-old Welshman unlikely to agree to a significant pay cut – and any move looking likely to be a permanent one from Madrid - the list of clubs who could afford to land Bale is decreasing by the day.
Jiangsu Suning and Beijing Guoan are understood to be keen on bringing him to the Chinese Super League – but will be aware that the transfer window in China closes in just 8 days’ time.
“Gareth is a Real Madrid player and for now he’s staying as a Real Madrid player,” said Barnett.
“If something comes along that suits us, then things could change and he could be gone in a day or a week. Or he could still be a Real player in three years when his contract ends.”
Bale, who didn’t take play in Madrid’s defeat to Bayern Munich trained with his team-mates yesterday ahead of the game overnight tonight against Arsenal.
