Joash thanks Migne after scoping MVP Award

Gor Mahia defender Joash Onyango has thanked immediate former Harambee Stars coach Sebastien Migne after winning the 2019 SJAK Most Valuable Player Award.

The crowning moment came on Monday 18 August and while giving his speech, Onyango pointed out that were it not for Migne , not many people could have seen what he was capable of doing.

“I want to thank the national team head coach (Sebastien Migne) for spotting me and the belief he had in me with the national team. Were it not for him I don’t think Ill be standing up here tonight,” Joash said.

The player was not hesitant too to thank his team head coach Hassan Oktay and his teammates both at the club and the national team level for the award.


“I want to thank too my club coach (Hassan Oktay) and my teammates both at the club and national team level for pushing me all through the season. I want to thank the organizers of this event (SJAK) and everyone who gave me his support.

“As a player, I had never imagined that I could be standing up here today but by the grace of god it has happened and I want to thank you all,” Joash added.

The defender had a brilliant season both with the national team and the club with Kenya reaching the 2019 AFCON while his Gor Mahia making it to the quarterfinal of the CAF Confederations Cup.
