Turkish top-flight side Konyaspor has signed Uganda Cranes hit man Farouk Miya on a three-year deal from Croatia side HNK Gorica; the club has confirmed.
A statement on the club's website noted: "Konyaspor has continued with their transfers and signed a contract with Croatia's HNK Gorica and Uganda National Football Team player Farouk Miya.
"Miya, who can play as a striker and in the midfield has scored 11 goals in 30 games for the Uganda National Team."
Miya said “I admired the stadium and facilities. As soon as I stepped into the club, I realized what a great community I was.
"I have signed for three years today. During this period, I want to make a great contribution to Konyaspor with my performance after having had the chance to watch the first game of the season. We have a very high quality and very strong team.
"I am sure that I will adapt to the team in a short time and will do my best to the end. I thank everyone who contributed to my transfer and cant wait for the day when I put on the Konyaspor jersey."
Farouk Miya will wear the number 21 jersey at his new club.
Miya was part of the Uganda Cranes side that exited the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in the knockout stage.
