Ahead of their Saturday encounter at Anfield, Arsenal manager Unai Emery has revealed that Liverpool’s “progress” as a team gives them an advantage.
The Reds host Emery’s side in a huge Premier League top of the table clash with the winners set to take top spot in the table. Arsenal and Liverpool are the only sides that have a 100% start to the season with Jurgen Klopp's side coming in to the match as reigning European champions and most recently won the UEFA Super Cup.
Emery revealed the one advantage Liverpool have over Arsenal, "Each season is different. We can use last year two, three, four years ago. Anfield is a big atmosphere, they are a very good team, they have an advantage over us for their progress and in their moments in last years.
"They have one step more feeling strong. But it’s not for us, it’s for all. We need to take our best performance, to go there with good feeling thinking we can achieve that individual and collective performance. We are looking to go there and show that."
Emery will be looking to avoid a defeat after suffering a 5-1 loss the last time Arsenal visited Anfield.
