SJAK's stand on awarding Enosh Ochieng' the Golden Boot after IDCC ruling

After bagging the SJAK Golden Boot award on Monday, Ulinzi Stars talisman Enosh Ochieng' is set to hold on to his award despite IDCC's ruling of nullifying his hat-trick on the final day of the season.

Independent Disciplinary and Complaints Committee's decision to invalidate Ulinzi Stars 4-0 win over Mount Kenya United days after the end of the season in which Enosh Ochieng bagged a hat-trick, meant that Enosh finished the season with 17 goals.

The ruling also deduced a goal from Allan Wanga after his goal against AFC Leopards was judged to be an own goal by Jairus Adira, meaning that he concluded the season with 17 goals tied with Enosh and Sofapaka's Umaru Kasumba.

Sports Journalists Association of Kenya (SJAK) Secretary-General Mike Okinyi, confirmed that Enosh will keep hold of his Golden Boot, Ksh250000 and 49' LG Smart TV, "The ruling made yesterday shall not affect the award. The ruling had been made after the awards, therefore, we shall not reverse that."
