Batambuze benched as Gor Mahia name team to take Noir

Ugandan left-back Shafiq Batambuze has been relegated to the bench with Gor Mahia head coach Steve Pollack preferring Geoffrey Ochieng at that role when his team take on Aigle Noir on Sunday 25 August.

Joining Ochieng in defence is Wellington Ochieng, Charles Momanyi and Joash Onyango in virtually what looks like the same squad that overcame Bandari FC in the KPL Shield Cup last weekend.

Youngster Tobias Otieno will once again be tasked with the task of screening his back four a move that sees Ernest Wendo joins Batambuze on the bench.

Kenneth Muguna

Captain Kenneth Muguna will be the one dictating the midfield tempo for the homes side and will depend on the assistance of Lawrence Juma and Boniface Omondi with Nicholas Kipkurui given a nod at the expense of Ghananian Afirye who is believed to have been registered lasted for CAF Competition.
