CAF CL: My players gave their all- Bucs coach

Orlando Pirates interim coach Rhulani Mokwena believes his team gave their all in the 1-1 draw with Green Eagles which saw them bow out of the CAF Champions League 2-1 on aggregate.

Mokwena was impressed with the performance of his team despite the result not going in their favour.

"The boys gave their all, You can't ask for more. It's clear to see that the players did all they could, they left everything on the pitch. Sometimes you have to try, We tried from the technical aspect to alter things it's just unfortunate that the result did not go our but but todays performance is encouraging, " he said.

"Like my colleague has said tough match with a difficult scenario where you need to catch up on a result and overturn it but that's how the cooky crumbles at the moment, We just need to soldier ahead now, " he added.

Happy Jele broke the deadlock in the 60th minute heading home from a corner to put the Buccaneers in the lead ending an over 400-minute goal drought. The celebrations were however shortlived as Amity Shamende leveled matters almost immediately. The draw sent the Sea Robbers packing and the Kawale boys to the next round .
