Leicester City midfielder has ignited another debate after claiming that he dreams of playing at the highest level; the player being linked with a move to Manchester United.
Apart from United the player has been linked with a move to Tottenham and speaking over the weekend, Maddison admitted his ambition is to play at the highest stage he can reach.
“I want to play at the highest level my ability will allow me to. I like to think I’ve my head screwed on with the transfers I’ve made. I’ve played League One, in Scotland, the Championship and the Premier League. I worked my way up,” said Maddison was an unused substitute as England eased past Bulgaria 4-0 on Saturday evening.
Creativity in the Midfield
United will be encouraged with such utterances with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in need of creativity to his midfield with the future of Paul Pogba still in doubt.
Maddison's former teammate Danny Simpson who played for United backed the midfielder to move to Old Trafford in the near future.
"Yeah (if Madison will make a move). He, for me, is world-class. I think people are speaking right now but honestly I think for an English player as well, honestly he’s world-class and he’s only going to get better and better,” Simpson said.
