Stade Rennes manager praises Eduardo Camavinga on his maturity

Stade Rennes manager Julien Stephan believes that midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has grown in his game for a player who is still young in the game as told to RMC Sport.

Camavinga has been impressive this season and has been a delight for Rennes since joining the side from Drapeau-Fougeres back in 2013.

The 16-year-old was in the starting lineup when his side took on Paris Saint-Germain in August and the fans rated him highly for his displays on the night when Rennes came from the back to secure a victory.

Camavinga is reportedly still in school and juggling football - he has already forged 12 first-team appearances for Ligue 1.

According to Daily Mail, the youngster has been a prime target for Tottenham Hotspur but face stiff competition from Arsenal and Manchester City

Stephan hailed Camavinga for the maturity he has shown so far but he feels like there's room for improvement in terms of his physical development.

“Eduardo has a lot of talent and qualities,” said Stephan.

“He is someone on a human level who is very well built, intellectually, too. He keeps his feet on the ground but remains a very young player, still in development, especially on the muscular level.

“He is a good student, it gives him a lot of thought on the field.

"He has a lot of maturity for a young player because he asks himself the right questions on the field, in relation to his position; what to do and what not to do, on his areas of improvement. His brain works very well,” he said.
